time is a dog
and life is a bone
ain’t no use
to weep and moan
time is a cat
and life is a mouse
i really should
get out of the house
time is a wall
and life is a giraffe
it thinks it sees all
does it even see half?
time is an ocean
and life is a whale
the red light blinks
when the systems fail
i got a message
to pay my rent
i wish that life
made a little more sense
